Concrete Leveling in Windham, NH
We check the slab, its fixed edges, and the water path before recommending a lift.
Check the walk in wet weather
The walk beside the foundation may be a trip concern, a drainage concern, or both. Show us the joint that catches a shoe and the place water sits after rain. We measure the panel against the fixed wall and the next section of walk. A higher edge is only useful if the new slope carries water somewhere safe.
The driveway seam has a different test: how a tire crosses it and whether the neighboring pavement limits movement. We will not write one target height for both surfaces. If either slab is too cracked to lift well, we should say so and price the repair that fits its condition.
The fixed edges set the useful elevation
At the walk, the door or step may limit how high the panel can go. At the drive, the neighboring slab and garage approach do the same. We mark those edges and follow the water path after rain. The goal is a surface that works with the house, not a level reading taken without context.
If the wall beside the walk is moving too, we inspect the building. Outdoor leveling does not stabilize a footing. We can separate the structural question from the concrete quote rather than let one mask the other.

Choose lift or replacement from the slab's condition
A sound panel that lost support may be a leveling candidate. Loose corners and severe cracking can make a new pour wiser. ACI's slabjacking guide raises the same distinction. We inspect the top, edges, and support before naming polyurethane or another material.
If a downspout keeps loading water at the low corner, we talk about it. Raising the slab without addressing an active cause can leave you back at the same problem. The estimate should say what drainage work is included and what is not.

Windham scope and town boundary
Windham's stormwater page explains that rain and snowmelt move across hard surfaces instead of soaking into them. A leveling proposal needs to say where the water will go after the slab moves. A higher panel is only useful if it does not pitch runoff against a door or foundation.
Read the Windham source. We confirm any approval question against the actual proposed work.
A Windham estimate with a water route
We should identify the exact walk or drive panel, the target edge, and where water is expected to go afterward. Old cracks, patches, and surface wear belong in the scope too. If the issue touches the town right-of-way, any municipal question remains separate from the private repair price.
We inspect free. Then we compare lifting with replacement and price the option we recommend for the concrete you have. We will not use a broad internet average as though it describes this slab.

A dry-day photo is not the final test
Take the same photo of the walk joint before and after. Walk it, drive across the seam if that was the complaint, and watch the next rain. If the water now travels toward a door, a nice-looking after picture is not enough.
Some old marks will stay. A leveling job moves and supports existing concrete; it does not turn it into a new pour. We explain that difference so you know what a successful repair will actually look like.

Where this Windham repair fits
Compare concrete leveling with a new pour for the walk by the foundation. For surface damage without settlement, compare concrete repair before paying for a lift. If the adjacent wall is moving, that belongs in a separate foundation assessment.
A question to bring to the Windham inspection
Where does rain go now, and where would it go after a lift?
We will check the walk by the foundation and driveway seam as separate surfaces before writing a repair scope.
